Breast Reduction

Reduction mammoplasty is performed to improve symptoms related to excessive breast size such as shoulder grooving and pain, back and neck pain, rashes where skin folds rub together, and posture problems. Contraindicated in smokers. Lipoplasty only breast reduction is a newer technique that decreases breast size to a lesser degree by removing fat only. This is a less expensive and painful technique that is most appropriate for women who have fatty breasts, usually over 50 years old and does not lift nipple position significantly as breast reduction does.
Dr. Gerson DOES
NOT use drains. He also uses dissolving stitches that DO
NOT need to be removed. Whenever possible he makes every
attempt to preserve breast function so that nipples continue to have
normal feeling and patients maintain the ability to breast-feed.
